Dr. Hirschfeld is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the Medical Society of New Jersey, the New Jersey Academy of Ophthalmology, and is on the executive committee of the Morris County Medical Society. He is on staff at Saint Clare’s Hospital’s Denville and Dover locations, as well as Lenox Hill Hospital and the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital.

Dr. Hirschfeld provides expert quality to treat a range of eye diseases including cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, dry eye , and macular degeneration. Dr. Hirschfeld performs state-of-the-art laser cataract surgery utilizing the most current techniques to minimize the need for eyeglasses after surgery. Comprehensive scanning laser diagnostic testing is available for early detection of glaucoma. Additionally, medication and laser surgery are offered if glaucoma is detected.
